India, my motherland, has sufferd a lot of attacks, has digested the blood of har billion children, was once considered to be the center of knowledge and peace. Her cultural varity has always made an ideal place to dwell for any race. Unlike most of other countries, where barbarians came and stole its wealth and destroyed its culture as much as possible, India is one of the few countries where barbarians came dwelt and became a part of her.The 'Kusan', 'Shwak', 'Hoon', attacked this land. This land has seen a varity of empires
nourished by her endless wealth. In 'Gupta' era she saw great kings. 'Chandragupta', 'Samudragupta' and the great 'Ashoka' are praised for their great works. Even the great Alexander had to turn away without conquring India. The great warrior 'Babar' attacked this land but under the spell of her beauty he instead of looting her wealth dwelt here and established the 'Mughal' empire, the greatest of all time in the history of India. At the end of 'Mughal' empire came the biggest impirialists of all time under the disguise of bussiness, the British. Who ruled the country for 200 years. In spite of living here for 200 years the British could never adapt this country as home. they smuggled most of India's wealth to their own land. Powered by other countries wealth British people still walk with head held high. Their barbarism to the people of India led Indians to revolute. Many patriots died in order to free the land, to claim what was rightfully their. They became terrorist in the eye of British Govt. Finally on 15th August, 1947 India saw her bondage broken and the people entered to the land of freedom.
This is where the real story begins. India, after her so called freedom was not the way her people wanted her to be seen. She was cut from two sides, like her two arms were taken away.
''PARTITION'' occured.
The immense pain of partition is hardly understood by any other states excpet West Bengal and Punjab.
I believe there's a reason why unlike any other states Bengal bear a prefix in her name. Probably the nostalgic Bengalis can never forget the pain of partition, moreover may be they don't want to. This pain was carried only by Bengal and Punjab. It was the cruel intension of the British and of some selfish politicians who made led this painful partition.
People of Bengal always lived in harmony with thier differences. The two races Hindu and Muslims grew simultaneously under the nourishment of mother Bengal. So why this sudden partition took palce? Why suddenly, from out of nothing riots occured creating chaos.
It was the British rule under which the encouragement came for those riots. The harmony was broken virtually, and willingly. The saddest phenomenon is that many of selfish Indian aided this riot.
I dream of an India greater then its current form. An India in its true colour.
